Radio Class Hosts a Winter Listening Party on Feb. 8

Please join City High Radio on the evening of Wednesday, February 8th for our annual Winter Listening Party. Two stories, one by Grace Edgerton and another by Reilly Chana, were selected by PRX (the Public Radio Exchange) for their annual playlist of best youth-produced radio stories in the nation.

And we have plenty more to delight your ears. This past semester we sold 15 of our stories to radio stations around the country, and they just keep getting better!

City High Radio is one of only two youth radio programs in the state of Arizona. It’s taken several years, but we’ve finally gained a solid following of radio stations and on-line listeners. This semester City High Radio’s PRX page had more listens than ever before, and we sold record-breaking 19 stories to radio stations around the country (and even to one in Berlin)!

Join us on Wednesday evening, February 8 for our Winter Listening Party. Free pizza at 5:30; radio stories at 6, in the Whole School Meeting space.  Stories will include all work produced last semester, plus a few gems from last year.

    I really enjoyed last night. Very entertaining. I am very pleased with Ashley and her involvement. I am looking forward to helping her with her main feature which will deal with her family tree dating back to 1694. Or maybe a compacted story as she interviews her great grandmother.
