Science in the CITY – Saturday, Feb. 18

Come visit us at City High School on Saturday afternoon. We’ll be here as part of the Science in the City event happening all over downtown. Exhibitors at City High School include: VOICES in the City Culinary Program, VOICES in the CITY Video Game Design Program, CEDO, Bio5 Institute, UA Teach Arizona, and others. The event is designed for families, adults, and most of all – kids of all ages.

On February 18, 2012 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm Downtown Tucson is the place to be to experience Science in the City presented by 2nd Saturdays Downtown and the Arizona SCITECH festival. Don’t miss this opportunity to discover the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) innovation and education happening in our Tucson community.

Bring the family and participate in an afternoon of interactive science and technology activities. You will engage in exciting discussions and see fascinating demonstrations hosted by Downtown merchants and Tucson education and technology organizations.  Connect with schools, colleges, and educational organizations and see innovative K-12 science, engineering & technology student projects and school programs. Best of all you will meet some of Arizona’s amazing science and technology innovators working at the cutting edge of science and technology and get immersed in interactive  science and technology activities such as Zero Gravity, rocketry, and the Mathematics Road Show.

Event venues include Downtown Businesses & Organizations, Science Downtown Mars and Beyond, Children’s Museum Tucson, the Main Library, City High School, and the Interactive Park on Congress between Scott & Stone. There’s free admission at the Children’s Museum and Science Downtown is offering 2-for-1 admission and free exhibits in the rear courtyard.  Convenient covered parking is available at the Pennington Street garage on Scott Ave and free on-street parking throughout Downtown.
