July Primitive Skills Workshop with Ironwood Tree Experience

Ironwood Tree Experience will lead the  second Primitive Skills workshop of the summer on July 16 – 18, 2012. This trip is currently full, but students can be added to the ‘Wait List’ if they are interested.

Title: Brown Canyon Exploration 3-day 2-nights 

Description: Teens experience the soaring beauty of the Baboquivari Mountains where I’itoi resides and golden eagles wheel through the sky while learning about the art of nature, native reptiles and amphibians, and primitive skills, ranging from fire starting, cordage making and designing traps! USFWS staff will introduce opportunities for wildlife study and management while unfolding the marvels of this beautiful ecosystem just a couple of hours from Tucson! Teens will have a diversity of activities and time to explore, help cook meals and share stories. All participants will reside in the Historic Education Lodge where beds, rooms, full kitchen and bathrooms and showers are available.
