spring symposium - table shot

Collaborate with other Arizona educators to develop, sharpen and share innovative approaches to teaching and learning. Join us at the annual Spring Symposium!

The focus this year’s Symposium will be on how we can use our schools and classrooms to create sustainable communities through place-based education and service learning.  Our keynote speaker, Joe Brooks from Community Works Institute, will share an approach to curriculum planning that engages students and teachers in their local community.  The day is designed to maximize participant learning. Participants will be resources for each other by practicing careful listening, giving skillful feedback, and engaging in meaningful discussions.

Spring Symposium 2013 will be held at City High School, 48 E. Pennington St, in downtown Tucson, on Saturday, March 16, from 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m.

Street parking in downtown Tucson is free on Saturdays, or you can park in the Pennington St. Garage on the corner of Pennington St. and Scott Ave.  Light breakfast and a catered lunch will be served.  The registration fee is $60.  Visit City High School’s Outreach Center online at cityhighschool.org/tssp-outreach/spring-symposium/ to register. For more information, contact Brett Goble, bgoble@cityhighschool.org or (520) 623-7223 x215.
