CHS Awarded Environmental Education Grant

unnamed

This morning City High students accepted one of Tucson Clean and Beautiful‘s Environmental Education grants! City High Farm to School was awarded the $500 grant to implement a composting system on our campus, in the newly renovated SLUG. City High students were involved in writing the grant proposal and students from the Urban Gardening elective class and Senior Seminar will be responsible for selecting the necessary materials, installing the composting bins, educating their fellow students about composting and maintaining the system. Tucson Clean and Beautiful offers the grant to schools seeking to improve the environment while educating students about sustainability. We look forward to making our campus even greener through this generous grant!
