AzMERIT Testing Begins in April

AzMERIT Testing Logo

April in Arizona means it’s AzMERIT testing time. Grades 9, 10, and 11 will be testing on various days throughout the month. Below is a grade-level breakdown of when students will be testing. AzMERIT tests are course-specific, though, so if your student is in an out-of-cohort class (for example, a Sophomore in Algebra 2), he/she will take the AzMERIT test for the class he/she is currently in. AzMERIT tests are designed to be given during one course meeting time, so testing will typically not interfere with most of your student’s other classes.

On testing days, please make sure your student is well-rested, well-fed, and at school on time to begin testing. All AzMERIT and AIMS tests are online. Students are encouraged to bring their own headphones to use for the test, and to leave their cell phones at home on testing days.
