About Us

In our classroom called Tucson

City High School strives to be a community of learners in which all members use their minds well and care about one another. We engage with challenging academics and the unique resources of our city and region in order to become active citizens and responsible stewards of our world.

City High School has 190 students in grades 9-12 representing the many neighborhoods and various ethnic and cultural backgrounds of Tucson. This diversity allows students to learn from each other and their community.

Our graduation requirements exceed the state requirements for graduation and are aligned with admission expectations for the University of Arizona and other four-year institutions.

City High School’s unique academic program promotes a hands-0n learning experience for students that encourages them to interact with and give back to their community.

We are a small school by design, in order to achieve a high level of personalization. The overall student population is under 200, and this helps to ensure that teachers and students know one another and that students get to know each other. Our advisory class is an in-depth and integrated academic and social homeroom experience that reinforces the small school concept.
