Amy has worked a variety of jobs, including an assay lab tech at Cities Service copper mine in Miami (Arizona), a freshwater fisheries extension agent as a Peace Corps volunteer, and a popcorn vendor at Seaport Village in San Diego. She has enjoyed her years of teaching most of all, first as a middle school teacher and then as a high school teacher. After a year or so of retirement from Phoenix Union High School District, Amy decided to return to teaching and have found a unique and wonderful school environment here at City High School. She joined the staff in 2014.

Amy is certified in the area of secondary science.
