Elliott Lax received a B.A. from the University of Chicago in Anthropology, a M.A. from the University of Arizona in Anthropology, and a M.S. from the U of A in Geosciences.  Elliott has been a part of City High since its 2004 inception.

Elliott has over twenty years of teaching experience, curriculum development, and professional development in anthropology, chemistry, geology, and environmental education. He has taught both secondary and post-secondary students in Arizona, Hawaii, Paraguay, and Greece. During his time as an educator, he has organized numerous fieldwork experiences for students in the United States and overseas. As an archaeologist, Elliott has conducted research on three continents.

Elliott is a certified secondary teacher. He is highly qualified by federal standards and the State of Arizona in the area of chemistry.
