Eve Rifkin received a B.A.from the University of Maryland.  She earned her M.Ed from Northern Arizona University.

Eve has been an educator for over fifteen years. At the heart of her teaching philosophy is the deep belief that students must, first and foremost, be known and understood before they can be effectively taught. As co-founder of City High School, Eve feels privileged to be able to connect with kids, in meaningful ways, every single day. When she’s not at school, Eve  enjoys traveling, reading, and learning how to do new things, like blowing glass, making pottery, and writing in Sanskrit.

Eve is an Arizona certified secondary teacher. In 2003, she was awarded the prestigious National Board Certificate in English/Language Arts, following a rigorous year-long application through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.

Please note: Eve is on maternity leave January-May 2012. Dean of Students Jeff Hartman is serving as Acting Principal for Spring Semester 2012.
