Jeff Hartman graduated from the University of Oregon with a BA in biology. He received a MA in public policy and administration from Western Washington University. He has worked at CHS since 2005.
Jeff worked at Columbia University’s Biosphere 2 Center, and wrote an educational children’s book for Biosphere 2 on global climate change and its impacts on coral reefs. He participated in the Toyota International Teachers program in the spring of 2007. Jeff has studied sustainable development in Costa Rica and developed a curriculum comparing sustainable development in the tropics and the Sonoran Desert. Jeff is a board member of CEDO [Intercultural Center for the Study of Deserts and Oceans] in Puerto Penasco, Mexico. He enjoys writing, working out, and helping others.
