Sarah Bromer graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada with a B.A. in English Literature and a minor in Science. She received her M.Ed. from the University of Arizona.  She has taught at CHS since 2005.

Sarah is dedicated to helping all of her students reach their full potential as readers and writers. She¬†believes that there are few things as empowering to an individual as literacy, and, to that end, she enjoys teaching her students the skills they need to be strong, critical readers and articulate, expressive writers. Sarah started an award-winning radio program at City High School, in which students write, record, and edit their own radio stories. These stories have been played on radio stations locally and around the country. In her spare time, Sarah likes to write and create radio documentaries. She has attended two intensive workshops on the art of radio doc-making at Duke University’s Center for Documentary Studies and has been published on both local and national NPR.

Sarah is highly qualified by federal standards and the State of Arizona in the areas of Language Arts/English and history. She is a certified secondary teacher in English and also has a Reading Specialist Endorsement.
