Regarding VOICES afterschool attendance

Many of you might be wondering why you’re receiving Excused absences from 9th period Voices CCLC. We are implementing a new required system of tracking attendance wherein we are entering after school attendance in Powerschool like a regular school-day class.

The default for Powerschool is Present if no code is entered (U, E, A, etc.), and since after school attendance is optional, we have to enter an Excused code (O) for everyone for everyday, then only count those students are attending an after school program as Present (blank).

Excused absences (O) from VOICES do not have any impact on school-day attendance.
