The College Now program was established at City High School in the Fall of 2012 to encourage students to take college-level classes and earn college credit while still in high school. The program fully funds tuition, books, and other materials.
The College Now program funds juniors and seniors ready to take college classes. Students have completed courses and received credit in a range of fields, including calculus, biology, economics, nutrition, anthropology, logic, and non-western civilizations.
The College Now program allows students to experience college-level study while still in high school, explore and deepen an area of intellectual interest, and earn transferable college credit. Students often choose their eventual college majors based on their experiences as College Now Scholars.
