Senior Internships

“I love working with motivated students! And hanging out with people from such different backgrounds is such a neat opportunity and very much broadens your horizon. Being surrounded by so many different languages regularly but still connecting with such different people is truly incredible.” -Mia Bates, Class of 2016, Intern at Center

City High School was founded on the premise that students should not only learn from their immediate community, but give back as well. The internship program was designed as the culminating experience for CHS students as they developed a deep understanding of and actively engaged with the Tucson community through various activities and projects throughout their four years. For the past eleven years, all City HS seniors have served as interns in the community learning critical workplace skills; establishing important relationships with adult mentors; and supporting a wide range of well-known community
organizations
