Downtown Friends
We seek corporate partners in the Tucson community, especially among our downtown neighbors, who want to invest in young people and support our program. Get involved, become a member of Downtown Friends of City High, and help create successful futures for our students!
We share our gratitude by promoting our corporate friends. Be featured in the City High School venues of your choice: school website, cityscape newsletters, facebook page, and more. Receive a discount on yearbook ad space. Display a Downtown Friends of City High window sticker in your business and be recognized by the community and your patrons as a supporter of innovative educational options for young people.
Some of the many ways Downtown Friends get involved:
- Sponsor the Pennington Street Block Party (annual event, 2nd Saturday in April)
- Participate in our Senior Internship Program as an internship site
- Provide in-kind support for the Extended Day Program
- Underwrite a sports team or club or contribute prizes for the annual spring raffle
- Present at Career Day (annual event, 1st Wednesday in January)

Downtown Friends is one more way that we live our mission at City High School. We embrace the city we live in – especially our downtown neighborhood – as an extension of our school “campus.” We strive to engage young people to the world around them and, at the same time, connect the wider community to its younger citizens.
