Spring Symposium Event
Tucson Small School Project is proud to host SPRING SYMPOSIUM 2012 on Saturday, March 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Joel D. Valdez Main Library in downtown Tucson. The event will be an opportunity to convene educators from throughout the state of Arizona for a day of reflection and action on what it means to sustain the work of Critical Friends Groups in our schools and communities.
Registration for the Spring Symposium is $40.00. A catered lunch will be provided. Parking at the main library is free. The Joel D. Valdez Main Library is located at 101 N. Stone Avenue. We’ll be using the large conference room in the basement.
Spring Symposium 2012 will bring together educators throughout Arizona who are involved in Critical Friends Group efforts in their schools and districts.
The first Critical Friends Group in Arizona started at Catalina Foothills High School in 1996. Since then over 300 Arizona educators have participated in CFG facilitator trainings, and an estimated 1500 Arizona teachers and administrators have participated in CFGs in schools and districts throughout the state.
