VOICES in the CITY! Workshops Begin This Weekend

VOICES in the CITY! workshops kick-off this weekend with the 3-Day Novel contest, which is an international marathon writing contest in which participants attempt to write an entire novel over the Labor Day Weekend! The school will be open from 8am – 8pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. This will be City High’s third year participating in this fantastic literary challenge and we are very excited to see what stories students create this year!

Next week the full complement of after-school workshops will launch on Tuesday, September 4th. Workshops include Homework Help (academic tutoring), Urban Farming (gardening and food education), Mural Making (public art), Portal 2:  Lab Rats (video game design), Darkroom Photography (art & science), and more!

For a more information on these great workshops and to register, visit the VOICES Fall Opportunities page or contact VOICES Director Krista Niles.

    Hello Intrepid Writers —

I hope you all have fun this weekend. You know I’d rather be there with you than recuperating at home but the words must go on … and on … and on …

Enjoy yourselves. Be good to your muse.
