AzMERIT Testing in April

April in Arizona means it’s AzMERIT testing time. Grades 9, 10, and 11 will be testing on various days throughout the month. The AzMERIT is one important indicator for how students are making progress in English, Math and Science. Please encourage your students to do their best on the test in order to get accurate information on their academic progress.

Below is a grade-level breakdown of when students will be testing. All of this information is also available on our on-line events calendar. AzMERIT tests are course-specific, so if your student is in an out-of-cohort class (for example, a Sophomore in Algebra 2), they will take the AzMERIT test for the class they are currently in.

On testing days, please make sure your student is well-rested, fed, and at school on time to begin testing. We will have some snacks available. All AzMERIT tests and the AIMS Science test are computer-based. Students are encouraged to bring their own headphones to use for the test. Cell phone use is not allowed during any of the testing sessions.
