FAFSA Assistance Night

On October 1, 2020, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opened up. FAFSA is a federal program that all colleges, universities, and many trade schools examine to determine the amount of money students will be offered during their time of study. It is based on a family’s income and most students and families qualify for some form of financial aid, ranging from grants, subsidized loans, and scholarships specific to the institutions.

On Tuesday, December 8 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. representatives from Pima Community College will be on a Zoom call with me to share guidance on the FAFSA application and answer any questions that students and families may have about the FAFSA. The session is open to any 12th grade student and family, regardless of the colleges you are applying to. The session will include information regarding:

  • How to get the FSA ID
  • How to complete FAFSA
  • Specifics about dependency status, income information
  • What happens after they submit their FAFSA
  • How to apply for Scholarships at PCC

The meeting will take place on Zoom. Please email Brett Goble, brettg@cityccl.org, for the link to join the video conference call.
