We are pleased to welcome:

Cindy Miller-Potter

Author, Speaker, Neuro-Psychotherapy, Certified Trauma Therapist, Auricular Acupuncture, Interfaith Minister

Cindy has spent the past 25 years working as a psychotherapist using integrative therapies that address the neurobiological impact of trauma on the development of chronic, progressive, behavioral health disease.  In 2012, she took a two-year sabbatical to study the neurobiological research on substance use disorder and suicidality.  Using the research and publications of Allan Schore, Bessell Van Der Kolk, Damasio, Dr. Amen, and Pat Ogden, Cynthia developed an approach to treat these issues that centers on stimulating parts of the brain and the central nervous system that are the result of early childhood trauma.  These neurobiological interventions are applied before the cognitive/psycho-education interventions are used.

Topics Include:

  • Trauma and the Brain
  • Anxiety and Depression
  • Supporting your teen with their mental health
