Nick Meyers graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Journalism and Philosophy, Politics, Economics and Law (PPEL) after nearly a decade in higher education. During his education, Nick spent much of his time tutoring peers in high school and at Pima Community College, where he helped students with subjects ranging from math, physics, and chemistry to writing, economics, and law. Nick has also spent time developing leadership skills in the military as part of the Navy ROTC program and in AmeriCorps NCCC, where he spent five months with a group of young adults volunteering for government and non-profit organizations.

Nick has spent the majority of his professional career as a journalist, publishing hundreds of columns between the Tucson Weekly and the Phoenix New Times. He has also been an editor for school newspapers at PCC and the University of Arizona, a sandwich delivery driver, and an executive at a data science start-up company before finding a place at City High.

In his spare time, Nick enjoys learning to play and write songs for the piano and guitar; hiking, backpacking, and sleeping under the stars; and reading, writing, and pondering political and existential philosophy.
