Rachel Mueller graduated with her undergraduate degree from Philadelphia’s Temple University with a double major in Sociology and Advertising/Communications, and she received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University with a specialized focus in Immigration and Border Issues. 

 

Originally from the East Coast country farmlands, Rachel spent time living and teaching in Philadelphia, Colombia, Mexico, and most recently, Hawai’i. Her experience in education ranges in the subjects of Health, Art, Gardening, English as a Second Language, and Special Education, but she has also spent time working in the realms of case management and intervention services. She is bilingual in Spanish and English. 

 

Rachel likes to build genuine connections and work in collaboration with young people, so she is excited to join City High this year as the new counselor. Rachel is passionate about local community efforts and working for social justice, and in her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, caring for her plants, and watching beautiful films.
